When I moved to San Francisco four years ago, it felt like I arrived late to the party. San Francisco Museum of Modern Art had just temporarily closed and several galleries were shutting down due to rising rent costs. This year feels different and I'm optimistic for the Bay Area. To name a few changes--SFMOMA reopened, Guererro gallery found a new location, Spoke Art opened a sister gallery, Hashimoto Contemporary and there's a new giant warehouse of galleries down the street from my studio called Minnesota Street projects.

Needless to say, I'm excited and you should be too. I hope you'll go out of your way to support our community this month. Here's a short list to get you started.

I took this photo last month at Guererro Gallery during the Cate White Solo Show.
